By the piers
Great location in Old San Juan. It is by the piers, right off the stops of the major cruise liners. In the back of the hotel, the beautiful old colonical San Juan is just a walk away, it is uphill though, but great area to see and shop. Great restaurants in the hotel, Palio (italian) and Chicago Burger, great breakfasts every morning. Hotel has a casino, the air conditioner worked quite well, TV was ok, hotel reception was ok, doorman was nicer. $23 taxi ride to airport.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Right at the edge of Old San Juan, by the pier. Great location for walking in the area. Parking on the streets may be tough, specially when the cruise ships arrive (I think these arrive on the weekends mainly).

Its location makes up for the lack of service
Great location, especially overnight before a cruise departure, but don’t expect much at all in terms of room amenities or responive service. We were provided one bath towel and wash cloth, and although we requested more twice, housekeeping never showed up. Because of the poor acoustics, we had to listen to the sounds of kids running up and down the halls and doors slamming until slightly after midnight. The place cabn be a madhouse immediately before a cruise departure.

Be sure to walk the streets of Old San Juan, only a block from the hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel, it was 100% better than the reviews I read
The hotel was the perfect place to spend the night before you go on a cruise, the rooms were very clean and much larger than I pictured. The hotel bell hops were very friendly and walking around Old San Juan was great, I will definently stay a second and third time.

Excellent hotel for Princess Cruise overnighters
This is an excellent hotel, immediately across the street from the Princess Cruise Pier. If you are taking a cruise with Princess and want to arrive early or stay, this is the place to stay. It’s exceptionally clean and the staff are very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Scratch this one from your list
Hotel pool on the top floor was only a little larger than a bath tub. All lounge chairs were torn and unable to be used. Water in the hot tub next to the pool was as cold as the pool water. There are only two elevators serving the entire hotel. The morning of our departure to go on a cruise, one of the elevators was out of service and we waited over twenty minutes trying to go to the lobby and finally had to use a service elevator that was dirty and smelled very bad. The only nice things to say about this hotel were that it was convenient to "Old San Juan" and the bed was very comfortable. I would consider this to be an embarrassment to the Sheraton name and way over priced.

Great Location
Enjoyed the Hotel and all of the friendly people. The Hotel has a great location. Wish we would have stayed there longer.
