Needs Improvement

The staff at the restaurant incorrectly charged us for food we did not order and also a second time did not bring a portion of our food. Bathrooms are too small. Also I would not say its right across from Disneyland; you need to take a shuttle, walking is too far. We did see the fireworks from our room, which was nice. Overall not happy with the service.

First Time Staying There...Will Be Back..

The rooms are quite large. There were 4 adults, 2 double beds and plenty of room for a roll away bed ($15 per night charge). Nice air conditioned room. The bathroom is small but was fine for us. They drop a newspaper by your door every morning which is nice. The hotel restaurant is pricey, they do have a shop where you can have sandwiches made, buy ice cream, gifts..etc. nice pool and koi pond. Great view of the fireworks from Disneyland every night and a convenient shuttle service to & from Disneyland park. They do charge you $10 a day to park your car at the hotel which I don’t feel is right since you are a hotel guest.

Pros and Cons

Cons: Walls are so thin you can hear next door conversation. Hotel restaurant is way too expensive. Refrigerant is poorly maintained. You pay for parking even if you were staying as a guest which is totally ridiculous. Pros: Close to disneyland resort, feasable, next to convenience stores and bus routes.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Wonderful place

We stayed here 2 nights and it was a perfect hotel if you’re going to Disneyland. The shuttle service was prompt and convenient running every 30 minutes all day long and up to an hour and a half after the closing of Disneyland. The hotel itself is gorgeous. Beautifully decorated lobby area and really nice restaurant. There is also an arcade game room for the kids and a deli where you can get snacks and even breakfast. The pool is nice. The rooms were huge and very beds very very comfortable. The best part was that the hotel was so quiet that we had no problem sleeping at all. We could even open the windows so we didn’t need to use the A/C and there was absolutely no traffic noise at all even though it is right off the 5 freeway.

great family hotel for Disneyland

We loved the Sheraton Anaheim. Rooms were HUGE, beds very comfortable, everything clean and new. Regular shuttle to Disneyland was lifesaver -- early morning sessions then back to the pool and room for a few hours before returning in the late afternoon. Highly recommended.

Will Stay Again

This hotel has been around for a long time and I was impressed with how well it has been kept. Although the carpet could use a good cleaning, the rest of the room, hotel, and hotel grounds exceeded my expectations. The food at the Bistro is expensive for the mediocre quality of the food. I will gladly pay upwards of $40 for a steak, but not one covered in chunks of black pepper and looks and tastes like it came from Denny’s. The gal at the Disneyland ticket booth gave service with a smile and the shuttle to and from Disneyland was on time everytime. Watching the fireworks from the hotel parking lot was fun and really loud, which my son thought was cool. All in all, I would definitely stay at the Sheraton again.

Towels, towels everywhere; just none that are clean.....!

We stayed at this hotel based on reviews read here on expedia.com. Overall, I’d have to say we were happy with our stay, except for a few minor issues. First, I didn’t expect to pay $10 a day to park. Maybe I missed this detail? Second, the hotel looked great in the lobby, but the rooms were a little dated and worn. They were, however, large and spacious. Nice for a family of three. Lastly, I’d have to say hotel service wasn’t all it could be. There seemed to be a lack of accoutability when it came to pool cleanliness and care for guests. On our first day we went to the pool to relax only to discover that there were no towels (you are NOT allowed to bring room towels). Several calls were made to hotel management in regards to this, and I personally went to the front desk to make this known. I was assured that fresh towels would arrive in ’minutes.’ Strewn about the pool were many-many used/wet towels left on chairs (is that seat taken or not?) which had me actually wondering if they even had more towels! Unfortunately it took more than an hour for fresh towels to arrive, and even then there was no apology or recognition of the inconvenience caused. I wish i could say this was the only time this happened, but unfortunately this seemed to be a daily occurance. I don’t know if we would stay here again. The price was right, but the service and attention to detail were lacking in the overall experience.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Most rides at Disneyland have a ’single rider’ option, which gets you on the ride faster and is great if you have to swap the kids. Just ask the attendant at the ride entrance for a ’single rider pass’, and make your way right to the front of the line!

Nice Hotel

Service was excellent. The bed, while probably comfortable when new, the mattress was a bit used. Business Center printers were very hard to use (but the front desk did print my boarding pass). Internet service not free, but there is one ethernet cable available in business center for laptops that was free. Parking was $10 a day (unusual when you are staying in a hotel). The free shuttle service to and from Disney was great (every 1/2 hour).

Good Place to Stay if Going to Disneyland

Bathroom was small, we loved how they had a shuttle to Disneyland which was free unlike some of the other hotels, good breakfast buffet, Hotel lobby and bar very nice, room was a bit on the plain side. Did not get a chance to visit the pool or the outside area. We didn’t like how we had to take an elevator and then had to walk down 10 stairs to get to our room/floor. Didn’t make sense to go up and then have to go down stairs. Would stay there again as you are not even 5 minutes away from Disneyland and the shuttle was great.

Great Place for The Entire Family

Service was great, very friendly. Shuttle service was on time and helpful. When catching the shuttle coming back from Disneyland, try to form a line. Everybody is tired and some will try to rush the shuttle. When a line was form there seemed to be more order. Even if the shuttle fills up the driver often called for another shuttle that arrived in about five minutes for those that didn’t make it on initially.

Third Times A Charm?

I specifically picked this hotel due to a previous excellent stay with a handicapped senior. The first visit was quality and the staff very attentive. This time was a disaster. Requested a king, non-smoking room (due to severe allergies) and was given a "den of iniquity" smoke-filled room in the main building. Breathing was an impossibility. Asked for a room change, and was sent to an old, filthy "out building" with the elevators right next door to the room...much of the night, the elevators were running with people returning from Disneyland and elsewhere, so sleep was interrupted and intermittent. The room was not clean, and maintenance people were in the room (unannounced) while we were out during the day. If this was my first stay...I would absolutely not return.

Sheraton Anaheim

The listing made the hotel sound as if it was within easy walking distance to the park. It was actually pretty far away, and although the hotel offers complemetary shuttle service, walking is an option that I look for because you can’t always depend on the shuttle. We took a taxi back to the hotel from the park both nights of our stay because the line to get on the shuttle was so long. The listing said that the pool was heated, yet it was extememly cold and the spa smelled so strongly of chlorine that it made all of our eyes burn and made my asthmatic son cough. The shower in our room was cold, even after complaining to maintenance and having it "repaired". We all took cold showers the entire time. We had to request additional towels as none were provided after the first day. The fabric on the chairs was soiled and in bad need of cleaning.

Be prepared to take a taxi back to the hotel from the park, particularly at the end of the day. At peak times the line at the park to take the shuttle back to the hotel is extremely long.

Good hotel with some minor problems

Overall this was a very good hotel. It was in good condition, very clean and the staff was helpful and nice. We ate an early dinner at the bar one night and the food was delicious and the prices were good. Only a couple of minor problems - the shuttle bus was inconsistent in its pick up times and location(at Disneyland), but it was worth the convenience of not having to drive ourselves. The internet fee and parking fee were too high. Also, the fireworks were quite loud, so don’t expect to be able to fall asleep until after 10:00

Not impressed

Definitely an older hotel that has been updated. We didn’t stay in the main hotel. We were in the annexed part. A/C didn’t work very well. Paint and wallpaper were in poor condition. Beds were not very comfortable. The shuttle bus to Disneyland was convenient, but too many times not enough room for everyone and had to wait 30 minutes for next shuttle. If this were a Holiday Inn, it would’ve been fine, but not up to standard for a Sheraton. Very disappointed. Will not return.

Great place to stay

We were very satisfied with our accomodations. The shuttle to and from Disneyland was a great plus and they were very prompt. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at the Sheraton.

No thanks

All hotels are subject to the boom of Disneyland fireworks but this one has its windows rattled pretty badly. My carpets were stained badly, there was rusted out fixtures in the bathroom.. the lobby looks great but dont let it fool you. This place needs a makeover badly.

Traveler's tip on dining

Eat at the park it is a little more expensive moneywise but you don’t pay as much intestinally..
