Good place to stay for DL

The hotel was in a good spot for our visit to DL. While the walk into the park was long because of the routing for Downtown Disney we were able to shorten it some by walking through the Grand Californian Hotel. The Best Western was in good condition with some remodeling happening while we were there but it did not disturb our stay.

great place

Clean hotel, had absolutely no problems. Air conditioning worked great. We walked to Downtown Disney and Disneyland and it did not take long at all. We stood outside of our room and saw the fireworks at night from Disneyland. Would definately stay there again.

Freshly renovated

Some rooms are still being renovated in another building, but the work there was hardly noticeable. Hotel is a short walk from the Grand Californian entrance to Downtown Disney - very convenient. An excellent deal at the time I went.

If traveling from LAX on the Disneyland Express, and you don’t have too much luggage, ask the driver the order of dropoff. If the "Anabella" is several hotels ahead in the list, get off there and walk across the street to the Stovall.

Good Value

On an earlier business trip I paid 50% more, and stay in an uncomfortable unclean hotel. Best Western newly remodeled rooms were a great value

good location

My only complaint was with the drain in the tub. It took forever to drain. For the money it was a great place to stay. Also I know a lot of these hotels tell you how close they are to the park, but this location was great. Cross one intersection, and just go thru Grand California. I did not like the FREE breakfast, but my husband & girls thought it was fine. Plus it was FREE I really shouldn’t complain.

Call disney dining & make reservastion for your meals. We do it everytime we go. Meals run around $70-$100 for a family of 4 ( 2 adults, 2 kids) It is pricey, but it is so great to be at the park & not spend an hour figuring out what everyon wants to eat & then spending another 30-40 minutes in line.

The hotel is very close to disneyland park,you can walk to go there.The hotel is close to los angeles around half hour,and San diego too.My family vacation’s was amazing

Totally Satisfied

For a budget conscious traveler, this BW Stovall’s Inn fits the bill! The hotel room is spacious, the free continental breakfast is substantial, the hotel location is conveniently located and is within walking distance from Disneyland and also, there are two big pools/spas. All in all, it is a great hotel for the price. We will definitely stay there again!

When you walk to Disneyland, cut through CA Grand Hotel to save some distance. Buy food from "Food for Less" to save some food expenses.

Good hotel

I was attending a conference nearby and this hotel is ideally located for walking to the nearby conference centers and Downtown Disney.

Disneyland Hotel

Very nice; was initially impressed that the management commented back to a previous reviewer. Not too many do that. Very comfortable, clean, employees helpful and nice. Very, very close to Disney maybe 10 min walk. Use Disney Dining for preferred seating. You can see the fireworks perfectly from the hotel pools; which were all clean and just the right temp. Close (next door) to two nice Dennys type restaurants. Will definately stay here again. Recommended to all my friends here.

Very, very close to Disney; simply go up Disneyland Way and go through California Hotel to Downtown Disney and into Disneyland or C.A.; maybe 10 min walk. Use Disney Dining for preferred seating.

Better than Average Motel

I stayed at the Stovall in August 08. I thought the overall stay was better than average. The beds are really soft. The water pressure is more than I have ever showered with in my life. The air conditioner was pretty loud and kept me awake. The lighting was a little low in the room and it could use brighter better lights and bulbs. Parking was ample and they were kind and let us park our car there before check in and after we checked out. It saved us having to pay for two days parking at Disneyland. The grounds are kept pretty nice. The pool and jacuzzi area are nice. Didn’t use either pool or jacuzzi but there are two of each plus a little wading pool for toddlers. We took the shuttle that picks up right out front of the motel. We bought the day pass that allowed us to hop on and go back and forth to the parks. You can walk to Downtown Disney from the hotel in about 10 or so minutes. Would stay again if it beat the prices of other nearby motels. It is in the same vicinity of most other Disneyland area motels.

Honeymoon in Disneyland

The Hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The only problem that we had was that the walls were paper thin. We had a room full of kids next to us and we were right next to the stairs so it was pretty noisy. Next time we stay there we’ll be asking for a room away from the stairs.

Woulldn’t stay again..

We travel to Disneyland at least twice at year and this was our first stay at the BW Stovall’s Inn. The Power to the hotel must have gone out 2-3 times a day. The rooms were quite small. It just wasn’t up to par of our usual hotel, we won’t be staying there again.

The walk to Disneyland was a little far and the shuttle was usually about 15 minutes late for the route, we usually had to wait about 40 minutes for the pickup.

Great hotel!

First time I went to Anaheim I stayed at a very simple hotel, but I decided to go for a walk and take a look at the hotels on Katella Ave. I saw this hotel and thought, wow, so cute, great color, modern, great pools, very close to Disney, great price! I thought well next time I will upgrade and stay there and I am happy I did! The bed is super comfortable, great pool and jacuzzi, refrigerator, AC, cable tv... the view to Disney was nice, I could watch the fire works from my balcony. I will definetely go back! Great hotel.

Sorounded by very nice restaurantes that you can go walking from the hotel. Reaaly convinient.

Shuttle is the way to go

The Hotel was a great place for the money. Only drawback is I wish they offered queen size beds rather than doubles. Shower was excellent. Hotel says they are gonna remodel next year, it will help them modernize. Shuttle stops rigt in front of the hotel and is great for going to Disneyland.

Use the Shuttle it saves a lot of walking. You can drive to Downtown Disney and park for three hours for free, or if you eat there they’ll validate your parking and you can park for five hours. It saves you time and is closer than taking the Shuttle. Also if you get a chance check out the Block at Orange it’s excellent shopping and a nice break from the hustle of Disneyland.

Very Accomodating

The hotel was a 15 minute walk from my event at the convention center and Downtown Disney, and across the street from Disneyland. I walked everywhere that I needed to go, not needing any other source of transportation other than to an hotel and then to the airport. The hotel grounds and room were nice clean and well maintained. Everything seemed maintained and useable. The Continential Breakfast from 6:30AM to 8:30AM was very handy for grabbing something on the run. Across the parking lot was Coco’s restaurant. I eat there as often as I could find the time. The service was good and the food excellent and very reasonable. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. They semmed willing to talk without delaying you if you were in a hurry.

It was July and it was warmmmm...hot so if you are walking you don’t want to be in too much of a rush because you will raise a sweat. Give yourself time to travel and adjust to the climate change of the air-conditioned buildings and transportation. It can throw your body temp off depending what you are use to.

Great location

Not the most updated room but very quiet plus the beds were very comfortable. Front desk staff were very friendly and always helpful. We were very greatful when they extended us a very late check out on our last day. Many activity and tour bus tickets sold at front desk. Within walking distance to Disneyland. Conveniently located next to bus stop and family restaurants. Short walk to 7Eleven and corner store. Breakfast room becomes very crowded so get there early.

Hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and courteous. Close to all attractions and restaurants. Stayed for 5 days for a great price. Good for the budget minded.

Great value

I was impressed with this hotel; it offered a wonderful continental breakfast each day, including eggs, pastries, cereal, toast. The pools were comfortable, and the rooms were cleaned well. The only uncomfortable part of the stay was the fact that the cleaning staff turns off the air conditioner each morning, so if you stay during the summer, the room is very hot when you return. Otherwise, I recommend this hotel. Try to get a room in the building nearest Disneyland; you’ll be able to see the fireworks each evening.

We all can’t wait to go back, it was a blast and the pools were great.

We will definitly come back and would recommend to stay to any of our friends. We enjoyed going down to the pools after a long day at Disneyland, especially the children. We also used some of the other amenities such as the laundry facilities, they were very clean and the price for uses were good too. The Full Breakfast was worth the price to stay and you got more than you could ask for.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

I would definitly check out the brochures for the different events that you may have planned because you could save some money. I would also recommend taking the shuttle to Disney, especially if you have small children cause it sure beats walking, and more so if you’ve walked around the theme parks all day.

it was alright

the hotel was just alright. The weekend we went the weather was hotter than usual and the hotel only had a leaky swamp cooler. That made it hot and humid. It says that the hotel is near the south enterance, but when you are walking up hill it feels like it is much further. over all the room was clean and the hotel employees are very polite. if you are looking for a place just to sleep this is it.

This is a great hotel for leisure.Staff is extremely helpful & friendly.Room was clean when we arrived.Although this hotel was booked solid, it was still quiet at night.If you are booking because there is free internet,you may want to look elsewhere.Internet connection is terrible.Other than that, we have no complaints.

We walked to the Disney parks everyday. It may be a bit long of a walk for some but it is nice and shady.
