Very lovely atmosphere and beautiful surroundings
We were very satisfied overall with our stay. Would recommend that management do more about the ants and flies.

Absolutely Heaven
Hotel has Jamaican atmosphere, a gorgeous beach, fitness center, great service and hospitality. We were upgraded to Suite at no cost. They cleaned the room twice a day and the suite is absolutely lovely. Food is great and affordable esp. breakfast and lunch. Dinner is a little bit expensive but elegant and romantic. We danced the waltz and tango by the pianist who played every song we requested. Manager’s Cocktail party which was courtesy and everyone was so friendly esp. the staff, down to earth and kind, music (reggae) all night long. You can hear the music and dance on your balcony during wedding parties on the beach.

Shop when you are leaving Jamaica in the airport, cheaper and you don’t have to pay 18% tax.

BEST HOTEL IN JAMICA
Absolute paradise. All rooms steps from perfect beach. Great tennis and fitness center. Very peaceful and beautiful manicured grounds. This place is the best hotel you never heard of.

Beyond belief
I was in complete awe of Half Moon and the friendlyness of the entire staff. I will be back to this resort in the near future. From check in till check out we were treated like royalty, this experience i will never forget.

Will not go back
The beach was nice but the overall service of the hotel was not very good at all. After traveling a ful day to this hotel and arriving late we quickly checked in and cleaned up and headed to the on site reataurant for a quick meal. We were turned away 30 minutes prior to closing because we were not wearing slacks to the reataurant. This was a very slow time of year and no other guests were in the restaurant. We were forced to have sub-par room service for our first meal at the hotel. They will not give you any information about anything that does not involve services that you would pay for thru the hotel desk. This was fine with us, we found an excellent gentleman to take us around to all of the sites personally and it was much more affordable and interesting than the hotels offered services.

Find a local driver who is part of the taxi association and use their services while you stay to get around.

Jewel of Jamica
Very relaxed and elegant. Quiet and a wonderful place for both families and couples. All rooms are steps from the beach and very nice. Main resturant open and has a beautiful patio. As soon as you arrive you feel younger...

Very good Hotel
We stayed in the Half Moon during the week after Thanksgiving and it was not crowded. The beach was great, many cottages and vilas on the property have their own pools. Food in the restaurants was expensive but average quality. To get around the 400 acres that hotel is sitting on, you can rent golf carts or bikes.
