“Excellent Resort... ATV Tour = Incredible”

Antigonish

We visited Sirenis Tropical in April of 2008 to get away from the cold of Antigonish, Nova Scotia and we went for a one week stay. We were overly pleased with the service, cleanliness. The food was excellent and beaches were incredible. If you visit Sirenis be sure to take the 2 hour ATV tour through Raymond and Paul who are located on the beach, who set up an excellent tour and are incredibly friendly to deal with. The tour takes you through many different locations including my personal favorite, a guided tour of a cave.

We would not hesitate to return to this resort if we were to plan another trip. 5 Stars!

“Amazing Holiday”

Me and my Friend stayed in this hotel from 1st May - 15th May and had an AMAZING time!
We are two 18 year old girls from Birmingham/England and had the best time ever!!!

We didn't no what to expect at all but it was much better that what we imagined.

When we landed we had an hour journey to the hotel which was a bumpy ride but i was too busy looking out of the window at the locals to let it bother me. When we arrived at the hotel we checked in very quickly with no hassle (apart from getting chatted up by the receptionists) but trust me we got used to that.

Our room was really nice and was cleaned every day.
We went to a couple of the restaurants but mainly eat in the buffet which offers a veriety of food each day. I had one day where i had a bit of an upset stomach but i think everybody gets that, i didnt let it bother me.

The pool was really nice but very hot were as on the beach you get a really nice breeze. the beach is LOVELY we took part in the danicing and sports in the daytime on the beach.

We went on the Outback Safari, The shopping trip and the trip to Saona Island they were really good. The outback safari was really good we had so much fun and Saona island was like going to PARADISE!!!

We watched the shows every night they were really good and then we went to the Disco. We LOVED the weekends when the Locals came to stay at the hotel....they filled the disco and are GREAT dancers as i found out. Ok they loved me and my friend as we were two young English girls travelling alone but they didnt bother us, we talked to all of them and danced with them and made a few friends who i speak to every day on MSN and will be meeting in October when we return to the Dominican. They liven the place up, they mean no harm.

The entertainment staff were really friendly,a nd very popular with some of the young women travelling alone lol we made friends with all of them and they came to the Disco most night's with us.
The bar men were really nice to us and had a drink ready as soon as they saw us walking towards the bar.

We met some lovely people......Dean and Julie, Dave and Dot and Cliff and dianne who we are going to stay with this weekend!!!
We never felt like it was just the two of us on holiday because we were always wih different people.

In October we are going to stay in the Occidental Grand Flamenco....for the simple reason that they have the club called Mangu on site. but i think we are going to spend the whole two weeks comparing the holiday to the Sireins hotel because it was such a nice hotel.

Anyway i would recommend this hotel to anybody of all ages, it has something for everyone. I will deifintaely be returning int he future.

Resort

The resort is beautiful to say the least, very big and easy to get around. Theres 20 + two-story villas, all around the resort. Some are closer to the lobby, but the one i was at was closer to the beach, which was perfect. The rooms were very well kept, and cleaned every day. The room i was staying in had a nice living room with a couch and a chair, a standard size bathroom, and a nice bedroom that accommodated two people very nicely.

Food

The food, in my opinion, was very good. I guess this category depends on how picky the person is. I'm not too picky, and i always found at least three or four dishes at the buffet that i liked. Remember to take a good look all around the buffet before you slap something on your plate. There was about 6 a la carte restaurants, and the ones that i went to were very nice. Recommend: Jade (Japanese) and La Cincetta (Italian)

Animation Team/ Entertainment

These guys made the trip a blast. They are all very energetic, talented, friendly very funny, and they work so hard from the morning to late at night. Shout outs to Spaghetti, Eddie Murphy and Chico Rico. Every night these guys put on a show at night, got the crowd participating and rocked the show. Dancing, acting, singing and joking around.

There was also a casino which was fun. We played a bit of slot machines and had fun. Drinks are included in the casino to those who are playing games. Definitely nice that there was a casino, it was nicely air conditioned and it was a good meeting spot for us at night.

Activities

The day activities were probably the things that made me enjoy my trip the most. I had the option of doing my activities with the hotel (expensive$$), or walking around the beach and seeing if anyone else offered those activities. I ended up getting lucky when i found a guy named RAMON who offered many activities for a much better price than the hotel. His prices were so much better that i planned the rest of my activities and excursions with him. So i definitely recommend that anybody who wants to save a little money on their excursions to go see PAUL AND RAMON. They are on the left side of the beach usually just hanging out there right by the little shops.

Overall a great trip, would recommend it to everybody.

“We had a Blast!!”

Sirenis Tropical Suites

We went on a family vacation. There were nine of us, 2 family's worth. The children ranged from 6 years old to 18 years old and we also brought along our 66 year old Mother. We had so much fun. The rooms were nice and clean (but you really do not spend much time in them anyway) and the grounds are spotless! The food was incredible in the main dining halls. The only problem we had was the sit down meals, the ones you had to make reservations for. They were quite dissappointing, from under done meat to tasteless desserts. Which really didnt bother us all that much because we just went to the buffets afterwards and had our fill!!
The pool absolutely ROCKS and the bartenders are super friendly. If you are a tipper, usually a buck or two makes them very grateful and they always remember your favorite drinks!
Bring your sunscreen!! I had Neutrogena SPF 55 and I stayed nice and protected the entire time. The moment I ran out and went to another brand and lower SPF, I burned.
The ocean is a little rough there so if you hate sand in your suit then dont go there, but I suggest you just deal with the sand because the ocean waves are so much fun!
They have really good tours as well for a pretty good price. Everything is in US dollars so dont forget to get yours.

All in all, a fantastic vacation spot that has made me a travel addict. Thanks to all the staff, especially Juan Carlos, my favorite bartender!! If you go, order a Sirenis Special for me! Trust me, you'll be glad you did! The best drink around.

My girlfriend and I arrived on Sunday, April 27, 2008. It is true on the weekends there is a lot of locals, but they seemed to be to themselves and werent much to worry about. And when Monday gets started it calmed down a lot and was a very sunny, relaxing week. With so many different restaurants and bars to drink and eat at you really cant get bored at this resort. They also offer fishing, tours into the jungle, atv, surfing...pretty much anything to make your stay more enjoyable. We totally recommend eating at the Asian restaurant, and the Italiano...Buffets were really good there are about four of them. Two for lunch, two for dinner.
Ocean is beautiful no big waves, but if you walk down the beach you will find some..Pools are huge..and very deep so you can dive, and there are two swim up bars. My girlfriend and i would totally consider going back in future, but really would rather see and visit different parts of the world first..
But for first time travellers...couples...kids...this is the place to go!
we will post pictures up soon...thx
