Nice, clean cabanas with all of the basics (some with view of the sea)...well landscaped grounds, nice clean pool, not far from beach or center of town. Very friendly communal environment. Nice 'hang zone' around the pool. Some people barbeque their catch and everybody shares....very cool vibe. (I ate Hammerhead Shark!) People of all ages, all walks of life, and from all over the country/world are there...and everybody's happy (they're on vacation!). Management is easy to deal with and is at your service, if needed. As a bonus, they will 'hook you up' with a good Pangedor. They hooked me up with Pedro and I pulled in a 9 1/2 foot, 250 pound striped Marlin, on his 25 foot panga! It was an experience of a lifetime! Loreto is a great place to vacation and Coco Cabanas is a great place to call home, while you're there. I can't wait to get back down there in the fall.

I found the Coco Cabanas a comfortable and clean place to spend my vacation in Loreto. The owner Barrett was extreemly pleasant and very helpful in arrangeing our activities ie fishing etc while we were in loreto. Thanx again Barett for the wonderful advice as to where to catch the big one

I've been meaning to write a review but, after the review that said Coco Cabanas was more for seniors I felt I had better do it now. We stayed there for ten nights at the end of April. I agree the beds could be better but, we seemed to get a good nights sleep. As for the comment that the place was for seniors - For the ten days we were there we only saw one guest who might have been in his 60's (we are in our early 40's). At the end of our stay a group for 30 somethings occupied 4 of the cabanas. It was definately lively arround the pool. That being said if you're looking for a place with a big pool or bar scene you should probably stay elsewhere. Coco Cabanas is quiet and tranquil, just what we were looking for. The rooms were very clean and Stephen gave great advice on what to see, where to eat and one day he brought us a huge bucket of clams. We dove three days with Dolphin Dive Center which is only a short walk away. You will not find a better lodging value in Loreto.

I think it would be practically impossible for someone to have a bad time here. PEACE, QUIET & TRANQUILL. Barrett continues to run a outstanding place. You feel like your in a large Mexican family hacienda. We loved it so much we're returning next month for another week.
