was so very disappointed with the very limited variety of food and there was no dedicated pool for children and there was construction going on and all you heard was jackhammering. First place where we paid for room bottled water and even still they over charged us for water we did not consume. Not uncommon to be in lineups for meals at times and just an unhappy experience. Most folks I met there said they would not return to this particular facility. Only good part was drinks were very good. I am sorry but I would never book with this place again............and you can be sure my agent will be advised.

We went to PV from June 07-14 and our time at the holiday inn met and surpassed my expectations. The food was great and so were the drinks (no watering down here) The rooms were clean and the maid service was excellent. All in all i would recommend this hotel for kids to the old. Although it can be a bit noisy around to the pool area if your trying to relax because of the kids, however if your on vacation do you really care??

I was nervous about booking a room at the Holiday Inn after reading several bad reviews, but it wasn't as bad as we had read it was. At check in there was a huge line but it moved as fast as one could expect. We had booked this room for our honeymoon and they had decorated our bed with towels folded into figures of swans and real flowers. They also had a complimentary bottle of wine in a bucket of ice waiting for us. The room was very clean, no complaints there. We did not do the all inclusive because we like to go out to eat so I can't tell you how the food is. The mixed drinks however were not watered down at all and the service was always good. The pool area was very nice, the only thing I didn't like was that the pool only goes as deep as 5.3 feet...good for younger children, not so much for adults who enjoy to swim. The beach at Holiday Inn is very nice and clean, except for the water. I would not try to get into the water. There is so much sea-weed and trash that I got in up to my waist and was disgusted enough to turn around and get out. After that I decided to try the jacuzzi, which is called a "free-air" jacuzzi. After stepping foot into the jacuzzi I realized that "free-air" means that it is not heated at all...so the water was only slightly warm, not at all what I was hoping for. It's more like a whirlpool tub with jets than a jacuzzi but it was still very relaxing. We then decided to try the "Vapor-Room" which I pictured would be something like a sauna. After walking around and around trying to find it we discovered it, in the bathrooms of the gym. I opened the door and it smelled of pure urine so I turned around and decided to just forget about that part. It didn't look like anyone had used it in a long time. I wouldn't bother using items from the mini-bar. A rather small bottle of water is the equililant of $2.30 USD. The other items are triple the normal price too. I did expect everything to be very high, just not quite that much. But other than these few small complaints everything was just fine. The hotel property is very beautiful and the staff was more than willing to help whenever we needed them.

Was a nice hotel. We should have done all inclusive but it was nice to walk to some restaurants on the street and in town to try different stuff too. The beach was nice, and the rooms were great. The only thing I didnt like is that I found the locals selling stuff to be very pushy. I would be relaxing on the beach and they would constantly come up to you selling stuff and I would say no sorry, and they would start pushing their products. I understand thats how they make their business, but there must be another way to go upon it. Beautiful place.
