We were looking for a hotel for a couple of nights close to the airport where we could stay prior to driving North to the great small resort towns of Nayarit. This hotel is very reasonably priced, the rooms are quite nice, the hotel restaurant staff are very pleasant. There is free internet service for your lap top in the lobby. it`s not an exciting hotel, that is quite pleasant. We picked up because of it`s convenient location by the airport. We plan to stay there again.

I have stayed at the Flamingo twice and will return January 2007.

The hotel is nothing fancy but the rooms are very large and clean - it is an older property but decently maintained. A very short walk to the main area of the Marina and to bus stop for downtown area. The Marina has great restaurants - Portabella - the fanciest, Fajita Bananas, Ristorante Italiano, etc. These are all a 5 minute walk from Flamingo. Not romantic, but great budget hotel for golf buddies and families. Restaurant by the pool is good for fast breakfast. If you don't expect a 4 star hotel you'll be satisfied - 2 1/2 stars is correct.

don't stay there, there are many good places in Puerto Vallarta, but this is not one of them. they simply have a terrible customer service.

This was the worst hotel that I have ever been to. The areas of trouble here start with the staff members. The staff did not know that I speak and understand spanish until my last day there, what a surprize ! They seemed to think that all Americans are dumb people, and they have a weekly contest to see who can take the most. The waiter staff started with not giving me my change after a deal near the pool. He said I must have been drunk, after one beer. A $7.50 loss to me. Please pay your bills with exact change, Do not charge to your room.
The pool and outside of the hotel were not maintained very good. The pool tiles were coming loose, and I cut my foot in the pool on one of the tiles. The grounds surrounding the hotel were to dirty to compare to anything.
The people at the front lobby desk do not work for the hotel, they were time share people. I booked some trips thru them and paid for them, Only to be told I would have to go to a presentation. I refused, and was told I could not go on the trips and no refund. Then I was told that if I did not go to see the time share that I would be kicked out of the hotel. The hotel and airfare were paid of myself before going here. They could not kick me out. I lost $240.00 to her, my guess is that she won the contest that week. The security would not help me with any of these troubles, except the last day after I spoke to them in spanish. They offered me a weeks paid stay on my next trip. I did not take them up on this, as I wanted to let others have the knowledge about this hotel, before going.
I had a couple of friends stay at other hotels near by this one. For the few dollars more and no troubles, this is the better choice. I will never stay at this hotel again.
