This is the best experience I have ever had in terms of hospitality and kindness exhibited by a hotel manager.
First, some background: our vacation was spent in Yelapa, but we needed to stay in Puerto Vallarta the last night to catch our plane in the morning. The hotel we were booked in had to cancel due to a virus outbreak at the last minute, and so we requested he book us at Casa Isabel. What luck that turned out to be!
Tony greeted us like close family friends from the beginning. When we arrived, he upgraded our room out of kindness and then personally drove us into the downtown area to help us find an ATM, and to point out some interesting places to go. Thanks to him, we enjoyed some interesting sightseeing. We originally planned to come back to shower, then go to a nice dinner. However, we were caught in a heavy downpour that lasted for hours. Taxis were not running. Tony to the rescue! He came back in to drive us to a restaurant to pick up food, then to a store for wine. The next morning, concerned that we would not be able to get a taxi (again, due to the weather), he personally drove us to the airport at 6am, braving flooded streets to do so.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The panoramic view of Vallarta from the balcony was very romantic. Our bed was very big and comfortable. We cannot wait to come back for a longer stay. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else the next time we are in Puerto Vallarta. Thanks Tony!
