My husband and I just returned from a week long stay at LeBlanc Spa Resort in Cancun. This was our best vacation ever - even better than our honeymoon, which was also in the Cancun area!

We're members of the Palace Premier club, so we received VIP treatment from the beginning. We were picked up at the airport in a Lincoln Navigator, and a staff member, who accompanied the driver, checked us in while we were driving to the resort. We were able to go straight to our room, accompanied by our butler who offered to unpack our bags for us. We were having drinks at the pool within 30 minutes of our leaving the Cancun airport!

The food and drinks were phenomenal and far exceeded our expectations. We've stayed at other Palace resorts where the food is okay to good, so we weren't sure what to expect. The food was so much better than we had anticipated, especially the 7 course meal with wine pairings. The Oriental restaurant had phenomenal sushi - better than anything we can get in our home town.

We made daily use of the Spa and work out facilities. I've never been to a better spa. Their massage tables are electric and move to position you wherever the therapist needs. The pedicure chairs were awesome, too. They were actually eletric massage chairs, so you could get a massage while also getting your pedicure.

We're into fitness, so gyms are important to us. Le Blanc's gym was great, and we were even able to have private Pilates classes a few times while we were there. It helped us minimize the weight gain from all the great food and drink we were enjoying!

The service was impeccable - everyone bent over backwards to make our stay perfect. The rooms were beautiful as were the pools, the beach and the hotel grounds.

I really only had a few minors things that could be improved. The drink service down on the beach was a little slow compared to the pool, but not so much that it bothered me. Also, I wish the entire place were smoke free, but at least the floor we were on and our room were totally smoke free.

If you're looking for a relaxing vacation where you're pampered every minute, I can highly recommend LeBlanc. My husband and I are already planning our next trip there!

“Le Blanc, Simply the Best”

Le Blanc Spa Resort

My husband and I spent 6 amazing days ( June 27- July 2) at this wonderful all inclusive resort. I can say, without any hesitation, that this is the best resort we have ever stayed at! The service we received here was impecable. We met the nicest people ever who made our stay unforgetable( Edgar and Edgar, Jesus, Lucienda, Issac, Mario, Denise, Tereasa, Karen, and our special butlers to name a few). The hotel and the grounds are breathtaking with the best beach in Cancun as its background!

Room:

We booked an Oceanfront Honeymoon Suite, 409 with a spectacular view of the beach as well as the main infinity pool. The room had everything we need including a huge jacuzzi, a two person shower complete with body jets, mini bar, mini fridge, snacks, robes, slippers, I could go on and on. We even had our jacuzzi prepared for us 2 nights by our butler. The only negative was there was no true balcony to sit on.

Pools:

The pools are all beautiful with a great breeze all of the time. We spent most our time in the main pool which overlooks the ocean. At any given time it was never crowded. You never had to "fight for a chair" like many other resorts. The pool concierge would take towels for both of us and lay them wherever we wanted as well as set up an umbrella and bring an icebucket for bottled water. Here we were served endless drinks and snacks by the wonderful servers. Whenever we said thank you or if we needed anything it was always "it's my pleasure". Though it was never expected, we tipped. These folks worked very hard to make our stay memorable. In the evening we went to the lagoon pool as the sun sets on this side. After dinner we walked out to the gazebo in the lagoon ( if you are lucky you may see a croccodile) or sat by the pool to have a drink. One evening Edgar fed the iguanas for us while we sipped on one of the MANY cocktails he made for us during our stay. We never used the 2nd floor pool but from what we saw it was nice as well.

Beach:

Amazing!! The color of the water and the white sand was very pretty. The water was too rough for swimming though. But here we were served drinks as well.

Bars:

There were plenty of bars spread around the resort so they were never crowded. We enjoyed the lobby bar the best. Here we met another Edgar and Jesus. Both Edgars and Jesus teamed up and put on a mini magic show...very cool and prepard many amazing drinks for us.

Dining:

- Blancterrace - The 7 course meal was unbelievable! This dining adventure was served at the blancterrace. Each dish was paired with wine. I cannot even remember everything we ate but here is what I can remember: Shrimp, sushi, beef stuffed with lobster, mexican chili, champagne sorbet, chocolates, grouper, salmon, tuna. Unfortunately we forgot to take photos

- Blancorient- Excellent with many choices of sushi and seafood. See photos.

- Blancitalia- Great food with many choices of bread. My husband had a huge steak and I had a shrimp appitizer and the lobster with open ravioli. Say hola to Issac! See photos

-Blancinternational - By far our favorite so we ate here twice. Our fav dish was the chateaubriand ( huge filet of steak) See photos.

Because of the tours we took we did not get to eat lunch or breakfast very often. What we had was incredible though! I had the grouper panini one day and a cheeseburger another(we had to split it it was so big) and my husband had a huge plate of nachos for lunch. And this was all served poolside! Breakfast had a great variety of fruits, eggs, meats, cheeses and so on.

Tours:

A few tours were included in our stay. We went on the Isla Mujeres and the Paradise Snorkeling tours. The Isla Mujeres tour departed at 9:30 and we didn't get back until around 5:30. The first part included a booze cruise to the island (the best part of the trip) and here you could take a taxi to swim with the dolphins, snorkel, scuba dive, or take a tour of the island. I think the only thing included in the free tour was the tour of the island. We decided to stay at the resort on Isla Mujeres and relax. Not a good idea. The resort there was not even close to being as nice as Le Blanc. It was very hot and not much to do but sit at the bar and drink and eat (included) the food here wasn't very good though. We wished we had taken the tour of the island instead of just sitting around. The second part of the trip we got back on the booze boat and went to the downtown area of Isla Mujeres and went shopping. This was fun but very hot and every store seemed to have the same stuff. My adivce would be to just do some shopping in Cancun and you wouldn't have to spend a whole day away from Le Blanc.

The Paradise Snorkeling was just ok as well. We had to leave at 7:45am and didn't get back until 3:30pm. The first part of the
tour we took a catamaran out to the reef and snorkeled for 45 mins. with about 150 other people and then went back and ate(included). Other activities like horseback riding, scuba diving, more snorkeling, jet skiing, driving your own speedboat, parasailing, and massages were offered for a fee. We didn't do any of them so we sat on the beach until it was time to go. We kind of wished we would have just spent these two days at Le Blanc instead of doing the tours.

I apologize for this review being so long but I felt I had to give this resort what it deserves. We try to go to different places when we travel but this will definately be a place we return to many more times!

Overall the resort is great. We stayed there for our honeymoon and it was just what we needed. To do nothing but lay in the sun and bake. Pool or beach - that was the only real decision we had to make each day. I love the fact that there are no kids! You can really relax. Hats off to the hotel staff, well except our butler who was always no where to be seen.

THE FOOD-I'm a vegetarian so I was skeptical about the food. It was good. We ate at the Blancinternational for B'fast everyday as they had the most variety of fruits and veg for me. The asian restauarnt was by far the best. I think I did get a touch of salmonella the last 2 days as I was really sick and it lasted until I got home a week later. We ate at the resort the whole time there. Never out. Out of a 10 the food I'd give a 6.5 I'm a big foodie. So yes I give kudos to the Asian Rest. and the Terrace for really trying, but the others were so so. The restaurant staff got wise to my diet and offered alternatives at the Terrace and the Honeymoon dinners. Very nice touch! But I still got stick from something...not sure what.

OPEN BAR- No champagne worth really drinking. You can buy the Moet (white star) a $27.00 purchase in L.A. for $95.00 at Le blanc. I would suggest trying the Mascharo Cava for free if you like the bubbly. It's better then the other sparkling wine.

SHOPPING- The resort shops have tons of great gifts, all are very good and low cost. It's even better priced then soem of the flea market stuff. We ventured out side to shop, then soon realized that haggling and bargaining was not our deal and felt really pressured, so we bought stuff at the resort for our friends and family and they are still a great bargain!!!

“Best All-Inclusive Experience!”

Le Blanc Spa Resort

Just got back from a week staying at this resort and had a wonderful time. My husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary and was so glad we chose this resort. We booked the honeymoon suite with double jacuzzi through BookIt.com. I loved that this is an adult only resort. Our room had an incredible views of the pool and ocean. The staff was very accommodating. Each floor has a butler for any special requests. Our butler, Hector, was extremely personable and talked to us a lot about what it was like working at the resort and living in Cancun.

There are 4 restaurants. We enjoyed the International restaurant on the 1st floor and the Italian restaurant the best. Our favorite dish was the beef tenderloin at the Italian restaurant which was cooked to perfection each time each time we visited. Breakfast and Lunch are served buffet style in the international restaurant and even though dinner is served a la carte in all the restaurants, you can order as many things as you want on the menu. My husband and I tried did sampling menus each night. If there is something that's not listed, you can make a special request and the chef will usually grant your request. One family wanted lasagna and the chef made it for them from scratch. NOTE: Ask for a Mayan coffee for dessert. It's not on the menu. It's a flambed coffee drink with Kalua and Mayan liquor. It's a spectacle to watch and delicious to drink.

The poolside service was great. The staff remembered our names during the stay and made sure our drinks were always cold and flowing. The beach is combed every morning for the guests. There were some solicitors roaming the beach selling items but once you say no, they leave you alone. Service at the beachside was just as good as by the pool. Make sure you bring some $1 bills with you to reward the staff for their service. They really go out of their way for the hotel guests.

The resort offered included excursions. We took advantage of the Isla Mujeres and Tulum excursions. The Isla Mujeres was not our cup of tea. If you don't purchase any extra activities like swimming with the dolphins, or scuba you spend the day at their Palace resort there waiting for the other guests. You learn to appreciate Le Blanc's adults only policy and the level of food. After, everyone is done with their activities, they take you to the other side of the island for some shopping. My husband and I aren't shoppers so we had to sit and endure 1 1/2 hours of heat while we waited to get back. The "party boat" to and from the island was entertaining. Tulum was a better excursion to see the ruins. It's a 1 1/2 -2 hour bus ride. The tour guide does give a narrative about the ruins and then gives you about 1 hour to enjoy the beach at Tulum. Then we were taken to another Palace resort to eat and relax for 2 1/2 hour. The Xu-Ha Palace Resort has some exotic animals on site, a large pool and very small beach. Again, you will appreciate the food and adults only policy at Le Blanc.

We did utilize the spa which was great. I did the new age facial which was exhilarating. Even though my husband did not purchase any spa treatments, they allowed him to use the hydrotherapy areas of the spa which is the sauna, steamroom, foot spa and hot/cold plunge pools.

Overall, if we ever go to Cancun again, I wouldn't hesitate to book this resort again.

“WOW!”

Le Blanc Spa Resort

Jun 20, 2008

My wife and I spent 7 wonderful days at this resort for our honeymoon. Thanks to the reviews of this website!! I too have stayed at several all inclusives in the area, as well as resorts in the Bahamas, Puerta Vallarta, Hawaii (3 of the islands), and Jamaica. This was by far the absolute best experience that I have had.

It is true, the service is amazing! The staff truly makes you believe and feel as though "it is their pleasure" to assist you. From the minute you arrive to the minute you leave you are treated with class and dignity, not the pushy bellman style stuff you would get in a high end NY hotel where they are just trying to get your tip money. The wine somelier (sp?) is first class!

The decor has a clean, simplistic feel that is soothing and consistent with the overall theme of the resort.

The grounds are very clean! Wake up one morning early and watch how much work and care goes into the morning rituals of the grounds keepers. These guys and girls work tirelessly to make sure the guests have a pristine resort. Every towel is neatly rolled and placed precisely on the chair at the same exact place as the one in the chair next to it. The displays at the pool bars are meticulous.

The only complaint we had was that due to the tile floors, the acoustics result in your hearing the guests in the rooms above you. As a frequent traveler, I am used to noise in hotels/resorts and bring a noisemaker on all trips. Once we turned on the delicate sound of the waves crashing, which added a nice feel to the scenic views from the balcony without having to open the glass doors and welcome the humidity into the room, everything was perfect.

A suggestion to the resort is that they place noisemaker/clock radios in the rooms and have them set to the sound of gentle waves. It would cover up outside noises and the occasional sounds of construction, and be consistent with the spa feel and design of the resort.
