We were here for Three nights Canada day weekend 2008.

Here are the good things:
Great location-one block from Rogers Center and CN tower. Short walk to restaurants on King Street and shopping on
Queen Street.
Staff- extremely helpful desk staff (especially Nadine). Answered all questions, gave good directions.
Room- we had a large king bed studio. Full kitchen. Pull out sofa.
Seperate shower and sink rooms. Programmable safe in closet.
Very clean and well maintained.
Valet parking-On weekends cars stay and eat free( free valet parking, and free gas cards). The parking attendants were the best I have ever seen. We only used our car a couple of times since you can walk to so many places.
Breakfast buffet- Excellent food. Dining area was not very big and it got crowded, but it was a holiday weekend in Canada and there were a lot of families staying here.]

Here are the bad things:
It rained a couple of times. Don't think that was Marriotts fault but it's the only complaint I can think of.

We stay at Marriott Hotels quite a bit. Four different ones this year.
One of our nights was free with our reward points. You pay more for these hotels but I think the service they provide is worth the money.

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at in a long time.
The service was top notch and the building itself was in great
shape. I recommend this place to anyone going to Toronto.

“Wonderful hotel in the heart of Toronto”

Residence Inn Toronto Downtown / Entertainment District

I stayed at this property for 2 nights while attending a meeting in the nearby conference center in the second week in June. The property is conveniently located 2 blocks from the CN Tower, Baseball stadium, and Convention center. It is a short (10-15 minute) walk to the University of Toronto, China Town, and Queen street. If you are on business or vacation, it's nearly impossible to beat this location.

There were only a few small quibbles with the property. The onsight parking is valet only, and the charge is $30/day. The lobby area is quite small, and there is almost always a small wait to speak with one of the desk attendants. However, I must say that it was nice that they hold your bags prior to checkout without a charge, and that your car is retrieved promptly by the valet attendants.

Otherewise, the property is fantastic! The breakfast buffet is free, and features several hot items and excellent coffee, fruits, and bagels, and is easily worth $10-$15. The exercise area and pool are very nice, with each piece of equipment coming with it's own TV. The rooms are very nice - Each one has an LG flat screen TV with a nice kitchenette that is more than adequate. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable, and the rooms were cleaned in a timely manner. Given the size of the rooms, they are actually very good value compared to several of the other downtown hotels.

I would definitely considering staying in this property again if visiting Toronto.

Great facilities, lovely room, location is great for being in the centre of toronto, parking is very expensive but there is parking round the corner on a side street off windsor st,(the one down the side st, not the one on windsor) who negotiated for the 3 days with in and out access.

“Residence Inn continues to be my hotel of choice downtown!”

Residence Inn Toronto Downtown / Entertainment District

I have visited this hotel twice in the past 6 months (once on New Years Eve and once June 7th) and can safely say it will continue to be my first choice when staying downtown! This hotel is an excellent value for bigger groups but also very reasonable for singles and couples as well ($200 a night taxes in). Rooms are spotless and each has a great kitchen/sitting area/washroom….much larger than the average hotel room! Check in/out was easy and friendly each visit. The beds are very comfortable, there is a great flat screen tv, and the modern styling of the rooms are very attractive! This hotel has a great location only a couple blocks from the subway and right around the corner from the CN Tower and Rogers Centre. One extra benefit….buffet breakfast is provided complimentary each morning of your stay (something for everyone!). I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anybody! Enjoy Toronto!

The MRI is in the perfect location. We parked our rental at the hotel and didn't use it once. Everything is within walking distance. Less than 2 blocks to Rogers Centre and CN Tower, Tons of restaurants, bars and clubs in the streets that follow, although the MRI is on a quiet street (which is good).

The hotel itself is in excellent condition. Very modern and clean. The rooms also very modern. Bathroom is one of the nicest I've used at a hotel. The bed was comfy with nice, quality, clean pillows and sheets. Not much use for the kitchenette with a short stay but defiitely nice also. Granite countertops, icemaker in freezer, everything you need to cook or eat a meal. LCD tv was nice to have if even for only a few minutes of watching.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful to tourists such as myself. They provided suggestions, directions and maps. The hotel also provides a complimentary buffet breakfast which was not only good quality but good to the checkbook.

I could not have asked for a better hotel to stay at. Whether you are looking for nightlife, sightseeing or both, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting downtown toronto.
