“Perfect B&B”

La Villa Paris

5 of 5 stars
London, England.
Jun 17, 2008

We stayed for 3 nights at La Villa Paris over the late May Bank Holiday and had a wonderful time.
The rooms are beautifully decorated, very contemporary yet still French. We stayed in the Opera which had a huge comfy bed and a small, but gorgeous bathroom, with a very powerful hot shower. Nice fluffy towels and crisp white linen, little chocolates left on the on the bed, so many small details that really make a difference.
As people have said, Marie is very friendly, helpful and accommodating and serves the most delightful continental breakfast – croissants, fresh bread, cheese & ham, freshly made Jams, cereals & fruit, juice, tea and coffee – delicious. Nothing is too much trouble.
A short walk from Cite Universitaire (RER), as well as a short walk in the other direction to Place D’Italie (Metro), and once you are on either it is only about 10 minutes into the Heart of the City.
If you don’t mind being that little bit away from it all, then I would definitely recommend staying here.

It’s difficult to find a really great place to stay while in cities like London or Paris. After a wild search online I found La Villa Paris and was glad I did. My friend and I had decided to stay in Paris over Christmas and the proprietor was happy to let us come and stay. She was extremely helpful in giving us directions, suggestions of places to eat and lovely maps! I love maps. The breakfast was fresh break, croissants, Nutella, jams, tea and coffee. A wonderful spread!

The bathroom was humungous and the shower had great water pressure. The beds were comfortable and very, very clean. Actually, everything was very clea.

On Christmas Eve we came back from a day of sightseeing and Maria had placed a bottle of wine and some fabulous chocolates for us to celebrate Christmas! What a treat that was!

I would definitely tell others to stay at La Villa Paris!

“Very nice stay in Paris”

La Villa Paris

5 of 5 stars
Leuven, Belgium
Apr 20, 2008

Just returned from a 2 night stay at La Villa Paris and it was wonderful! It felt like a home away from home and our champ elysees room was cosy, spacious, nicely decorated. The bed was very nice, slept like a rose. Also nice was the jacuzi, very nice to relax after a long day walking through the streets of Paris!
The B&B is nicely located and it's very convenient to the Metro and bus 67 stops across the street and brings you to the Louvre and the Notre Dame and Pigalle.
We felt very welcome and Marie did everything to help us find our way across town, thanks Marie for everything!!
We will certainly come back to the Villa and we recommend you stay there whenever in Paris!

“Small and perfectly formed”

La Villa Paris

La Villa Paris is, in a word, perfect. Marie, the host, is extremely friendly, helpful and well-informed. She provides the most delicious breakfast in the mornings, of local pastries, breads and cereal. The room was clean and beautiful. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest metro, which gives you plenty of time to absorb the feel of a true Parisian neighbourhood - and lets you avoid all the other tourists! Highly recommended.

“Merveilleux!”

We recently returned from a wonderful, one-week stay at La Villa Paris. After an extensive search of hotels in Paris, we opted to stay at this amazing B&B in order to get a true "slice of life" by residing in a French home and neighborhood. Needless to say, we were not disappointed! While my husband & myself stayed in the "Concorde", our children (ages 23 & 20) were in the "Opera" downstairs. The rooms are beautifully appointed and have all the amenities that one could possibly need (flat screen TVs, WIFI, comfy beds, and electric blackout shades in all windows to name a few).

The owner Marie is simply incredible. She personally prepared our breakfast of croissants, pastries, bread, yogurt, cereal, fruit, cheese, coffee, milk and juice each morning. She then would assist us with our daily itinerary - as she is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to restaurants, shopping, the museums, transportation, etc. Although we were out late each evening, we would always return to a note left by her welcoming us home and asking what time we would like breakfast the following morning.

As mentioned, it is a short walk to the Metro at Place d'Italie and the stroll takes you by wonderful shops (and on Tuesdays & Fridays an open-air market set up just outside LVP). It is an equally short distance to the RER train at Cite Universitaire as we made a connection for a day trip to London via the Chunnel one day.

Merci Marie! We definitely hope to return to La Villa Paris some day and visit with you again.
