Just returned from six nights at the Mahana for our honeymoon. It was even better than we expected. We had a great stay in Room 318 which is a one bedroom. It was very clean and appeared recently remodeled. It was nice having a private lanai, a kitchen and a lot of space in general. The only negative was that the wireless internet didn't work well, and was only slightly better if we used it outside on the lanai. But overall that was a minor inconvenience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return to the Mahana!

We have just come back from our honeymoon in hawaii. Our first stop was in Maui. We had been booked into the Resortquest Kaanapali shores but from reading some reviews felt it was more a family themed property and wanted something a little more with a honeymoon feel.
We then picked the resort quest mahana. we made sure that we e mailed the property before hand to ensure we had an updated room. The slight worry with this property is that all rooms are decorated by the owners of the property so it is pot luck what room you get. Having said that when we walked into our room No 506 we were absolutely blown away in how stunning the room looked.

The room had all comforts of home with a fully updated kitchen with every type of appliance imaginable including all stanless steel applicances and granite brench tops. A very comfy lounge which included a flat screen TV and massive king size bed which also had another tv in the bedroom and a beautiful marble bathroom with a shower big enough for two people with a seat and a massage shower head.

The staff at the Mahana were more then helpful whilst also giving us some spoace to enjoy out honeymoon. If they needed us to know something they left a messge oin the answring machine.

While we were there there was no access to the pool area for 2 of the days. But that was no problem as there was just so much to do around that it was no issue.

After 5 nights we reluctantly had to leave to go to Oahu which the hotel we stayed at in Waikiki was nowhere near the class of the Mahana.

I could go on and on about this property all day on how great it was but i just urge everyone to stay at the Mahana. We are now counting down the days that we can come back to stay here again. It was the honeymoon to remember.

Wonderful condo with a million dollar view! Spoke directly with the owner of the condo and booked on his website. Very easy process and pleasant interaction. Condo is located on the beach with a view of Lanai and Molokai. Beautifully updated unit with plenty of room and just the right amount of privacy. Property is very clean and accomodating. No problems during our entire stay!

I would have rated this condo 5 star except for the underhanded booking. To be specific, because we booked during a busy time and (perhaps) for a decent discount, months ago via Expedia, they "downgraded" our room without notice (and probably because they overbooked the rooms). Needless to say, I was furious and discussed with the manager "Debbie" the next day who was able to accommodate us with the size room we had requested.

My advice: Call before-hand and make sure you get a proper room. Also I learned that they consider their rooms "gold" and "standard" which refers to their condition.

Moving on, we were assigned room #408 which was simply beautiful, updated, and clean. Kitchen was well equipped with all the common utensils needed to cook a meal and more.

Pool is rather on the small side, but kept clean and was adequate for us. You will literally be beach-front which is a few steps away. Keep in mind that there are no lifeguards on premises (or on the beach) and the water is rough.

Friendly staff.

Across the street from the hotel is the "Star Market" which is a large grocery that sells everything (including a huge selection of wine and liquor). Save some $$ and check them out. Safeway, another large grocer, is a 10 minute drive away.
