“Our family loved the beauty and ambiance of the Mahana!”

After months of planning a four island tour of Hawaii, I chose the ResortQuest Mahana because of the good reviews/ratings and was not disappointed. We arrived on May 22nd and were assigned a beautiful and clean one bedroom suite on the 3rd floor. There were granite counter tops in the full kitchen, a washer and dryer, pretty ceramic bathrooms, but our favorite were the breathtaking ocean front views and sunsets! Sitting on the lanai and eating meals were simply delightful! We attended the free breakfast put on by the concierge in which she discussed activities we could sign up for and purchase through Expedia--it was all optional and low-key. We decided to book a luau (I believe it was $56 a person) and a snorkeling trip to Molokini which was also reasonably priced. The whole family enjoyed the luau and it was a great way to begin our trip and we also had fun on the snorkeling trip with the Pacific Whale Watch group. I also cannot say enough about the beautiful landscaped grounds and the walk to the Star supermarket across the street was a relaxing one--no need to drive to the Safeway--the Star had more of an "island" feel to it. We grilled out almost every night on immaculate grills that I noticed were cleaned in the morning by staff members. I remembered someone mentioning the high winds, and did recall it being windy in the afternoon, but not bothersome. My concentration was the pure pleasure of relaxing on the nice loungers facing a beautiful beach, then leisurely walking to swim or snorkel and end the day in the hot tub gazing out at the ocean and jumping into the refreshing pool. My teen-aged son appreciated the air conditioning because we did not have a/c on a couple of the other islands. I would love to send my daughter here for her honeymoon. WOW! All I can say is that I can't imagine returning to Maui without staying at the Mahana!

“Fantastic!!!!!”

ResortQuest Mahana at Kaanapali

Jun 19, 2008

The Mahana was wonderfull and we could not have asked for a better condo. Our room was completely stocked full of everything we needed and everything was top notch. The view was amazing and couldn't have been any better! Even the view from our front door showed beautiful rainbows each afternoon.

I was very satisfied with the front desk, everyone there was friendly and was more than willing to go out of their way to help with anything. We had been to Maui once before and happen to get a condo at a different location, that condo was horrible and made our stay there in Maui somewhat regrettable. The Mahana was so much better and I would choose it over any other place in Maui.
My wife, my daughter and myself stayed in room 807 and I really thought I was in a five star room. The room was decorated with new tropical arrangements and really had the hawaiian atmosphere. All the furniture was clean and the cabinets were stocked with nice dishes as well as cooking utensils. The views from the room was utterly astounding. I took several photos from the balcony and they looked better than most postcards you can buy at whalers village. We had friends that stayed a week at the Mahana and a week at the Westin resort just down the beach, they liked the Mahana much better and preferred it over the expensive Westin.

The mahana is close to everything in Kaanapalli so driving really wasn't an issue at all. I could go on and on with this review but I'll cut it short and attach photos of the room so you can judge for yourself.
I will say this, before we got there I read reviews about the front desk people being unfriendly and not willing to help in certain situations, I found this completely untrue. The employees were very friendly, always had smiles on their faces and seemed to love their job. I will stay at this condo every year when we return and have already recommended it to everyone I know that is travelling to Maui. You can find me at the Mahana every June from now on..

“A Wonderful Family Vacation”

ResortQuest Mahana at Kaanapali

4 of 5 stars

Jun 12, 2008

This was my families first visit to Maui. I booked the Mahana based on the reviews on this site. I am so glad that we stayed at the Mahana. We had a one bedroom for for my wife, 16 month old son and I. We were very comfortable and loved our room. I had requested a room on a high floor and we had a room on the top floor (12). I was very impressed that when we got to our room and a crib for my son was setup in the bedroom.

The Mahana is in a great location and the Star Market across the street came was a good place for us to stock up. This allowed us to have breakfast daily on the lani. What a view we had!

The staff was very friendly and very helpful. My only complaint was the housekeeping service was not the best. We had to call down in order to get our room cleaned (we did not have serivce until the 3rd day).

We are looking forward toour next trip to Maui and staying at the Mahana.

“Great stay at the Mahana”

Just returned from six nights at the Mahana for our honeymoon. It was even better than we expected. We had a great stay in Room 318 which is a one bedroom. It was very clean and appeared recently remodeled. It was nice having a private lanai, a kitchen and a lot of space in general. The only negative was that the wireless internet didn't work well, and was only slightly better if we used it outside on the lanai. But overall that was a minor inconvenience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return to the Mahana!

“The best Honeymoon ever”

ResortQuest Mahana at Kaanapali

Jun 3, 2008

We have just come back from our honeymoon in hawaii. Our first stop was in Maui. We had been booked into the Resortquest Kaanapali shores but from reading some reviews felt it was more a family themed property and wanted something a little more with a honeymoon feel.
We then picked the resort quest mahana. we made sure that we e mailed the property before hand to ensure we had an updated room. The slight worry with this property is that all rooms are decorated by the owners of the property so it is pot luck what room you get. Having said that when we walked into our room No 506 we were absolutely blown away in how stunning the room looked.

The room had all comforts of home with a fully updated kitchen with every type of appliance imaginable including all stanless steel applicances and granite brench tops. A very comfy lounge which included a flat screen TV and massive king size bed which also had another tv in the bedroom and a beautiful marble bathroom with a shower big enough for two people with a seat and a massage shower head.

The staff at the Mahana were more then helpful whilst also giving us some spoace to enjoy out honeymoon. If they needed us to know something they left a messge oin the answring machine.

While we were there there was no access to the pool area for 2 of the days. But that was no problem as there was just so much to do around that it was no issue.

After 5 nights we reluctantly had to leave to go to Oahu which the hotel we stayed at in Waikiki was nowhere near the class of the Mahana.

I could go on and on about this property all day on how great it was but i just urge everyone to stay at the Mahana. We are now counting down the days that we can come back to stay here again. It was the honeymoon to remember.
