This was a great deal. And we were really happy with our choice! The pros: hotel is on the beach, and a little north of the tourist center of Lahaina. We had to drive to Lahaina (which is a good thing). The rooms (in the main building -- not the cottages) were renovated in the past year or so, and the hotel is totally non-smoking. The room renovations were decent, with a modern feel, and the rooms were fresh and new. Most, if not all room shave a balcony, but be careful which side of the hotel you are on, since one view (the north view) is the top of the a restaurant and luau venue (which can be loud), plus we could hear the ac units. And the cranes in the distance at the Ritz (which was under renovation, totally obstructing the view). We changed our room for a better view which was partial ocean and partial hills which was perfect. The hotel staff was very friendly. We also had a fridge. The cons: Not many, but the bathroom was small with only a shower, and the beds were not very good -- mushy and nonsupporting. Also, I wouldn't bother with any of the food options, except for maybe a drink at sunset. The food is overpriced and not great. Unlike the rooms, the rest of the hotel is really NOT renovated and rather stuck in a time warp. With the exception of the rooms, the rest of the facility is a little on the dingy side. But really the rooms and the beach were great!
