Make sure that you stay in any of the Tower rooms!! Huge bed, so comfortable, wonderful remodel from the water fixtures, stand in shower to the flat screen Tv, cozy balcony. We just got back from a 5 night stay. The Royal Lahaina was perfect, great location for snorkeling, restaurant, stores and all sorts of activities in Lahaina. We didn’t have time to try the breakfast buffet, but we had dinner and lunch in the lounge on the bottom floor, the food was good with reasonable prices. The Ice cream shop/ coffee shop was perfect for quick breakfasts if you are on the go and Royal Lahaina has a small store on site for drinks/snacks and other things. The pool is a little small, but it’s right on the beach and it’s great for cooling off from the sun and or Sun bathing. All in all I would defiantly stay there again, don’t stay in the cottages, they are out-dated because they are privately own, the hotel does not take responsibility for the look of the cottages, the owners do that!! Stay in the Towers.

Just got back from 4 nights at Royal Lahina and we had a great stay. The beach was perfect for my 5 year old and we enjoyed the pools as well. We also really enjoyed the Lua held on property. We were planning a return stay the second day there. Having on onsite combination coffee house/ice cream parlor worked out for all of us.

I think the greeting at reception should have given us a clue. After stating to the clerk that we had a reservation...one of the first comments was "what time will you be checking out?" We were given one of the cottage rooms which had not been updated since the early 1980's. The bathrooms were in poor condition Mold in the tiles and cabinet doors in very poor condition) and the room smelled because of the old and stained carpet. The positive about the resort was the location and the ability to walk the beach and to the shopping areas through a picturesque path that runs along the outer edge of the golf course. This was the only negative experience we had during our stay in Hawaii.

Me and my girlfriend just got back from our first stay in Maui. To put it simply, we were not disappointed! Royal Lahaina Resort was great. The hotel itself and the grounds were perfectly maintained. True, the cottages are a little older, but they do not take away from the overall authentic hawaiian look and feel. Not to mention, they are all to be replaced soon. the rooms in the tower are very nice. clean, modern, and comfortable. big bed and flat panel tv! woo hoo!

I had a partial ocean view room from the 12th floor, and the view from the balcony was superb. We had mountains on our left. We had the tropical gardens and golf course straight ahead. And we had the beautiful beach to our right (not to mention more mountains in the background). check out some of my pictures, and im going to try to include a video tour from my room.

the staff was so helpful! i was very impressed by their willingness to provide. the activities center in the lobby also exceeded expectations. very very helpful and knowledgeable.

true, the pools arent great. but i didnt go to maui for water slides. their beachfront is awesome.

the resort has pretty good food as well. the breakfast buffet is great. a very good selection of food. a little pricey at $20 per person. the royal ocean terrace is the resturant at RLR, and it was good as well. not too expensive either. and for dessert they have the royal scoop; an ice cream parlor. all good stuff.

when its all said and done, i would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. and if i ever get a chance to go back to maui, this is where i will stay.
