Please do not stay at the Hilton Philadelphia Airport. It's a dirty, nasty hotel staffed with unfriendly people who simply do not care about their guests.
I stayed there last week and had such a horrible experience. First, when I went to check in the people were rude, and acted as if a guest trying to check into their room was an inconvenience to them. When I arrived to my floor, it smelled gross -- very mildew-y. I went into my room hoping it would smell better, and it actually smelled worse.
The room itself was very dirty. There was Easter candy all over the floor. One of the drinking glasses was broken in half -- the only thing holding it together was the white sleeve they place over the top. Obviously the maids do not wash glasses between guests, because they would have noticed a broken glass. The carpet was all torn up, and the room was overall just filthy.
After spending a short amount of time in the room, I couldn't take anymore. I went to the front desk and asked to be given another room. She asked if I was on the second floor. When I said yes, she said "Yeah, it smells, doesn't it?". YES, THEY KNOW THAT AN ENTIRE FLOOR SMELLS, AND THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Sickening. She did however give me a new room.
The new room did not smell at all, but was still very dirty. The ceiling was falling apart. The carpet was all torn up, with bare wood floors visible in a couple of areas. The floor in the bathroom was so grimy that I was able to write my name on the floor with my finger. To make things worse, in the morning when I went to take a shower, there was no hot water.
Just gross. This hotel has ruined the Hilton name for me. I've stayed at cheap motels that were far nicer than this supposedly luxury brand hotel.
