I hated this hotel from the minute we arrived. We were using hilton honors points and usually we get exceptional treatment when we do this. But not at this hotel. We asked for a quiet room on a higher floor with two beds. The desk clerk very rudely said no to each request. What we did end up with was a horrible room overlooking the air conditioning ducts. King bed not two doubles (after a long plane flight we like to space out on our own beds.) We were too tired to go downstairs and ask to have our room changed. My husband said "it's only for two nights" and we were eager to meet with family that evening in philadelphia. So we stayed . the air conditioner rattled all night, the ducts were loud. The beds were o.k. Linens were o.k. Breakfast was convenient, as we didn't have to search around a questionable neighborhood for breakfast. Homeless people were lounging on the streets near the hotel. The parking valet was rude.
O.K. you are probably wondering what the redeeming feature was. Well, my husband left his camera in the room. three days later he realized this. He called he hotel. Left a message for housekeeping. Lo and behold the next day housekeeping called him back and said they had his camera. they asked for a visa card to cover shipping expenses. that was o.k., if lacking in class.

ServiceThe Hampton Inn n Race Street in Philly is ok. We are a family of four, two adults and two kids and shared one room with two double beds. The hotel is clean and the room as well. The hotel is nicely located next to the Convention Center and walking distance about .6 mile to the sites(liberty bell, etc...). The hotel has a small pool(you can do about three laps across it) and a hot tub. The pool area was messy and towels and cups left on the tables, However, when I called the front desk they were polite and sent someone right away to clean the area. The free breakfast the next day was fair. Alot of cold items, cereals, pastries, yogurts and such, the hot food was poor. The eggs were processed looking and not very appetizing. But for a free breakfast, it did the trick. The staff were polite and overall helpful. The parking is close and is 24 hr with a minimum charge for additional hours. Overall, a good experience but would have liked more room next time.
We took our granddaughter to the historic district of Philadelphia this past weekend and stayed two nights at the Hampton Inn. The staff were the friendliest I have met in a hotel in a long time. The breakfast was ample, the room clean, the pool was small but fun for everyone who was in it. Again the staff were very accommodating in getting more towels when asked.
Within walking distance down 13th to Arch to Reading Terminal and the Convention Center. My 9-year old granddaughter had no trouble walking to the Liberty Bell and back.
The air conditioning unit was quite noisy...we turned it off at night. but all in all well worth the money...we used the Stay Overnight in Philadelphia Special and between the discount and free parking...you can't beat it!!
