A couple of friends and I went to New Orleans for my birthday this past weekend and booked a room @ the Provincial for $85/night. Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel! Our room was located in Building 5 and had an awesome balcony that overlooked Decatur Street. The ceiling was really high and you had to go through the tall window in the room to get onto the balcony. The room was very nice, spacious, and clean. The hotel is a little older, but it is very charming and has that great New Orleans feel about it. There isn't a fridge/microwave or anything like that in the room but that wasn't a problem for us. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has a great location, in my opinion. It is about 2 blocks from Cafe Du Monde and Jackson Square, and is right across the street from the French Market. We went to Frenchmen Street @ night and it was only about 4 blocks away which is a lot closer than other hotels I've stayed at in the past. I'll be staying here again the next time I come to New Orleans.
