ServiceMy husband and I stayed at this hotel for a convention that he had to attend. This was a great hotel! Right from the check in- we were treated wonderfully. We were upgraded to a concierge level room and the location (attached to the Cobb convention center) couldn't be better. The room was very spacious and smelled fresh upon our arrival. The hotel had a nice gym, pool and starbucks cafe in the lobby. Our only problem was when we tried to dine Friday night in the hotel's restaurant "Medici". It was very busy, but we had a reservation at 845 PM. The hostess sat us and we sat there with no service for 30 minutes. I had to get up and complain to get service. This minor incident would not deter us from staying here again when in Atlanta.

Business serviceThe service at this hotel was on the level of a Ritz Carlton, or other top-tier, luxury hotel. Every single interaction I had with the staff of the Waverly was superb - from the maids to the management. Doors were always opened for me. Staff that passed me in the hall always greeted me, asked about my stay, and asked if I needed anything. The front desk clerk instantly made me feel that I was an important and welcome guest. The valet team handled high volumes (including at check in and check out time) with amazing efficiency.
To every single employee of the Waverly - THANK YOU. You are amazing. In a world where service is an after-thought, you are the best this frequent traveler has seen in a long, long time.

Business serviceMy husband and I decided to take a weekend getaway. The Waverly is about 45 minutes from our home. This was our second stay. Mainly chose the Waverly for the Sunday brunch. We really splurged all the way. Used the valet for parking and using the bellhop for luggage delivery. The room was nice and clean. Staff was courteous and friendly. The Sunday Brunch is to die for. You can have anything you want - from oysters on the half shell to custom made omelets. Very very good! We will be going back.

ServiceOur family of four stayed here on March 16, 2008 on our way to Florida.
It is right off of I-75 so convenient for those looking for a quick stop. It has a very nice work out room and a nice pool. Generally we found the service to be pretty good. The room was clean with the exception of the phones which were absolutely filthy! I had to clean them myself before using them. The bathroom is small - the door swings all the way to the sink so you have to step in and out of the way before you can close it. This was a bit of a hassle with four of us. Bathroom was fairly clean, but there was mold in the shower.
We found the queen beds very comfortable and the hotel was not crowded so our stay was quiet..........BUT READ THIS>>>>>
On our way home from FL, we thought we would stay here again, so we hopped off I-75 on March 22 and thought we would have the same pleasant experience --- NOT TO BE! We drove around the parking lot for 45 minutes and there was not one spot to be had. I ran into the hotel to see what was going on and to find out where we could park and the employees just told me we were out of luck because they had several big events going on at the hotel (it appeared to be weddings and a religious group gathering). The told me they had plenty of rooms but they could not help me in terms of parking. My suggestion to hotel management is that they need to consider the people staying at the hotel and have adequate parking reserved for their paying guests! Needless to say, this was a very frustrating experience and they lost our business. We stayed at the Embassy Suites down the road (please see my review posted on that hotel).
When I called, they never mentioned all of these events going on. If you want to stay here I would inquire about any special events or conferences scheduled during your stay. Our first experience was very nice -- our second, a nightmare!
