Just returned on 5th October 07 after 2 great value for money weeks.
The reception staff were excellent, when we arrived our room was not available so they put us (my wife and myself) into a family apartment for the night and next day we were moved to what turned out to be the best room in the hotel with the best view across the pool and the sea - in the past when this has happened you tend to get pushed into a tiny box room for the night!
The weather was perfect - sunny 26 to 28 degrees every day. Hotel and grounds are kept extremely clean, room cleaned and sheets / towels changed every day and there were supervisors constantly checking all areas.
Food was very good quality and an excellent variety every day.
Restaurant staff were very polite, efficient and helpful.
We arrived at 1400 and went to the restaurant for lunch at 1510 - just 20 minutes before it was due to close and they were still bringing out freshly cooked trays of food - this continued to be the case every day so no need to rush down for early sittings.
The animation team worked tirelessly to offer all sorts of activities and the children on site seemed to adore them.
A couple of negatives to note, first it is quite remote if you like to get out and about for a walk the footpaths are very few or nonexistent. The location is very hilly (built into the side of a mountain) so dont go if you have walking difficulties. All of the beds and pillows are very hard resulting in disturbed sleep.
The first week was a broad mix of nationalities, German, French, Albanian, Italians and a few British.
Unfortunately the second week the majority were British (I am british by the way) and this was the week when good manners seemed to disappear and the moaning started. One man was heard to complain that he expected roast beef and yorkshire pudding - pathetic.
This apart I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is thinking of going (if you can ignore Corfu Airport chaos)
