Weather
Acapulco is blessed with good weather - but it can be hot and humid much of the year. Average daily temperatures year-round range from between 88F to 91F highs and lows of 70f to 76F. July is the hottest month. Infrequent rain falls during the November to May period, while it rains frequently during other months - especially June through September. The months of August and September typically see the heaviest rainfall. You can find a chart of average high and low temperatures and rainfall for each month - as well as the current up-to-the moment weather at Acapulco's G.Alverez Int'l Airport at Acapulco Weather.
When to Go
More international tourists visit Acapulco during the "high season" of December through April than at any other time of the year. Naturally, people living abroad in colder climates seek-out warm weather and nice beaches - and they find both in Acapulco. Mexican tourists, however, flock to Acapulco year-round - especially for nationial holiday's, the year-end holidays, Easter (Semana Santa) and during the mid-July to late-August school Summer Vacations.
If you plan to visit Acapulco during the June through September period, expect rain - sometimes very heavy rain that can last for hours or a day (when there are tropical storms offshore), or short-duration rain that falls lightly or for short periods of time or overnight. The Summer months can be hot and humid and many foreign visitors unaccustomed to the heat/humidity find the conditions uncomfortable (especially if they stay somewhere that doesn't have air conditioning).
