Thai kickboxing is internationally famous and there is a reason. Not only are the competitors tough, but the event itself is filled with excitement.
At Lumpini and Rajadamnoen Stadiums, tourists (those who pay signifcantly higher entry fees than the locals standing on the terraces), are seated near the ring in front of the fence that separates the betting frenzy from the casual observers. At Lumpini the entry fee to ringside seats includes a souvenir CDROM and access to the interesting changing room areas - where you can see and smell the fighters warming up.
Subtle Warning. If you think you may find seeing youngsters boxing each other senseless it is advisable that you consider rolling up around an hour into the program when their bouts have finished. The downside to this is that by this time the best ringside seats may have been taken.
Beer, soft drinks and snacks are served ringside.
The two largest and most popular stadiums in Bangkok are Lumpini Stadium, Rama IV Road and Ratchadamnoen Stadium, Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue.
