The New Advance Rider Segway Tour goes up the famous San Francisco hills and down the crookedest street!
Riding a Segway is similar to riding a bike—it's intuitive but nobody is born knowing how to operate it. That's why you will receive 35-45 minutes of training so you can get familiar with riding. After learning how to safely operate the Segway, you'll explore the San Francisco waterfront with a fully narrated tour. Fees are $ 70.00 per person and reservations are required. Tours are limited to nine riders and ages 12 and up over 100 lbs (45 kilos) are welcome. Every tour makes numerous stops for photos. The routes in San Francisco are on designated bike lanes adjacent to city streets. Tour route also utilizes some muti purpose trails.
Starting in 2008 the company uses the new i2 Segway Fleet.San Francisco Segway Day Tours depart daily 9:00 am, 12:30 pm and 4:00 pm April through October. From November until March tours are 10:30 am and 1:30 pm daily. All Segway Tours depart from Fisherman’s Wharf. Day Tour is 2 1/2 hours -3 Hours total. The routes have been updated for 2008 to cover more miles and destinations.
San Francisco Guided Night Segway Tours depart Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 pm April through October. From November until March Night Tours depart Friday and Saturday at 4:30 pm. The new Advance Rider Hills of San Francisco and Crooked Street Segway Tour includes Lombard Street -down the Crookedest Street, up Russian Hill and on to explore North Beach Little Italy. Advanced Tours depart daily Spring, Summer and Fall: April until October: 10:30 am and 2:00 pm. Winter: November - March: 3:00 pm departure daily.
Guests on the advanced tour must have taken a Segway Tour (San Francisco or in another city- not a 5 minute test ride a full 1 + hour tour) in the last 12 months. This is not a beginner tour or appropriate for guests with mobility issues.
San Francisco Tours depart from the rear parking lot at 757 Beach Street near the corner of Hyde Street. Located across Beach Street from the Hyde Street Cable Car turn around in Fisherman’s Wharf. A Wells Fargo Bank ATM is at the entrance to the training area. Training takes 35 -45 minutes, Day tour is two hours long Total: 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Night tour is 2 1/2 hours total.
The Company also offers Sausalito Guided Segway Tours depart daily at 11:30 am. Tours depart from Bridgeway at Caledonia Street. The 2 1/2 hour Sausalito Tour explores the town waterfront including Dunphy Park, Cass Marina, Galilee Harbor, Marinship and The Bay Model. Sausalito tours are given on i180 model Segways.
